About the Author

Bjorn Dunkerbeck, born in 1969, is today with 35 World Cup titles, the most successful windsurfer of all time. The son of Danish / Dutch parents, he grew up on Gran Canaria, and began at the age of 9 years with the windsurfing. Over years, he left his competitors in all disciplines far behind. Since 1987 he revolutionized the Windsurfing World Cup and finally disbanded old master Robby Naish.  Its victory will and his slogan: "When you compete, winning’s the only thing that matters!“, were legendary. Through his athletic style and his experimentation new Surfboards and surfing sails appeared.
Börn Dunkerbeck now lives with his wife Maria and his two children in Andorra. Its next goal: To break through as the first the 50 knots sound barrier and to set up thus the record for all sail vehicles.
